NRL: Sharks v Roosters at PointsBet Stadium in Woolooware. NRLW kick-off at 12pm and full time around 2pm.

Road closures may be in place on Captain Cook Dr from approximately 10 minutes before kick-off and remain in place until crowds have cleared around 30 minutes after full-time.

Traffic on roads approaching the stadium will be heavier than usual as fans travel to the match. Allow extra travel time on Captain Cook Dr, Woolooware Rd and Gannons Rd. 

Motorists should also be aware of increased pedestrian activity in the area.

Cronulla Fest at Cronulla Plaza and Cronulla Park on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September from 9am-4pm.

With over 50,000 people expected to attend, heavy traffic is expected on roads through Cronulla and approaching Cronulla St as people make their way to and from the festival.

Motorists should allow extra travel time on surrounding roads and be aware of increased pedestrian activity around the area.

The CronullaFest street festival is taking place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September 2024.

Celebrating 40 years, Cronulla Street and surrounds comes to life with market stall and food vendors from 9am to 4pm.

To conduct the event it requires the temporary closure of the following roads from 5pm on Friday 6 September until 7pm on Sunday 8 September 2024:

• Cronulla Street, between Croydon Street and Purley Place;
• Surf Road, between Cronulla Street and Gerrale Street;
• Purley Place, between Cronulla Street and Croydon Lane;
• the Gerrale Street car park adjacent Cronulla Park; and
• Surf Lane, between Laycock Avenue and Ocean Grove Avenue (resident access maintained; proof of address will be required)

Authorised Traffic Controllers will manage the road closures during the event times. Authorised Traffic Controllers will also manage the pedestrian crossings across Surf Lane and Gerrale Street during the event times to assist with safe pedestrian movements and to keep local traffic flowing.

Traffic is expected to be heavier than usual as the public travel to attend the event. Motorists should allow extra travel time and be aware of increased parking and pedestrian activity in around the town centre and Cronulla Park.

The public is encouraged to use public transport to attend the event.
